What is ABA?

Our Approach

If you’re exploring therapy options for your child, you’re probably sorting through a lot of new terms and information. We’re glad you’re here.

ABA In Plain Language

Applied Behavior Analysis is a scientific, goal-oriented approach to teaching new skills and reducing behaviors that limit learning or daily life. In ABA, therapists break big goals into small, achievable steps and use positive reinforcement (praise, play, or preferred activities) to help a child master each step. Over time, those small wins add up to big progress.

What Does an ABA Session Look Like?

Play-Based Learning

Therapy looks a lot like play. We weave teaching moments into games, pretend play, art, or a favorite activity, keeping your child engaged and smiling.

Data & Adjustment

Therapists collect simple data during each session. Your BCBA reviews it regularly and tweaks strategies so progress stays on track.

Personalized Goals

Every activity targets a skill chosen from your child’s individualized treatment plan—no cookie-cutter lessons here.

Family Collaboration

You’ll often see us coaching you, too—sharing tips so you can use the same techniques at home, creating consistency and faster gains.
